Yesterday I went to a 2 hour free herbalism class deep in west Oakland. I was the only person that showed up. She said that if she charged money there would probably be tons of people there. She told ne about the history of western herbalism, the different influences by u.s region, how to make teas and tinctures and salves, then went on an herb walk around her neighborhood.

Just heard the exact moment the rain turned to ice hitting my tent fly.

Now fer phase 2: snow/ice. It’s supposed to stay rainy and in the 40s until 4 when it drops to the low 30s and ice and “heavy snow showers” commence.
